It's been 372 days since I have used spurs on a horse. It's been an experiment. I've likely been on 40+ different horses during that time. After having surgery on my leg and the resulting nerve damage, I felt like this was an endeavor I needed to embark on. I did not feel it was fair to the horses when I couldn't feel what was happening in my lower leg and I felt like I would regain function more quickly without using a crutch.
